The Club Management Committee are pleased to announce their appointment of Karel Rout as the Club’s Acting Chairman until the next Annual General Meeting in February 2018. Karel will continue with producing the Club’s Newsletter in the manner and the memory of his close friend John Cator.
Bowls England Under 18 Squad

Bowls England has named a 12-strong squad to participate in the third Under 18 Test Series against Wales at Clevedon Bowls Club, on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2017.
Military Whist

If you enjoy a game of Whist you are very welcome to join us.
If you are only available occasionally we can usually find you a game. You can be registered as a “spare” if you leave your telephone number and someone will contact you when one of the tables is short. Tables of 4 play as a team.
If you are interested in joining us regularly or occasionally please telephone Alan Cracknell or call in one Thursday evening.
Butler & Buttifant

The Monday & Friday afternoon league final was played on Friday 25th August 2017 for the Butler & Buttifant sponsored trophies, which were presented by Muriel Butler.
The winners of the cup were Chris Burr, Peter Deeley and Steve Carr, representing Peter Deeley's team and the runners-up plate was won by Alan Curtis's team of Mike Seppings, Graham Spooner and Trevor Jermy.
Corks Wanted!

Do you have any bottle corks? If so, bring them to the Club for the ditch infill to the outdoor green.
Please give them to Brian Taylor or place them in the box provided. DO NOT put them in the ditch.
